Sponsoring a child in my local community for Christmas?
Your local mall may have Salvation Army Christmas Angel trees set up soon. These trees have tags with the first name, age, sizes and wishes of a child locally whose family qualifies for istance. These are children who are truely in need. There is an application and interview process that the parents must go through for the children's names to be on the tree. The wonderful thing about that program is that you can look through the names and wishes and find a child whose wishes are with-in your budget. I have given gifts to this program when I was single with no children, and when my family has fallen on hard times my children's names have been on the trees.
