Question about electrons......?

For this equation: hydrogen ion is reduced to hydrogen, Zinc is oxidised to zinc ion. For reduction, molecules need to gain electrons. 2H+------>H2, from positive charge to no charge, hydrogen ion need to gain electrons. electrons are negative ions.
